New Rhett & Link website: Removal of "Kommunity" from site & GMM Episodes -updated 1st Sept

R&L have changed the link on the website from fan forum to Fan Kommunity and have reinstated the Kommunity url in the GMM episode description box.

Hey guys, we appreciate your feedback.  And, as you can see, we heard you and made those changes.  I wanted to take a second to explain the reasoning (or lack thereof) for those previous decisions.

We put "fan forum" on the new site not to devalue the Komm, but because we see RhettandLink.com as a portal to stuff, not really a destination.  So, it's designed to be a great way for new people to discover what we create and the different ways they can connect.  For a first time visitor, "Kommunity" may just seem like a misspelling of community.  Fan forum, while it wasn't a great description of the Komm, was the best we came up with at the time.  However, we think fan Kommunity is a good compromise...it still suggests that it's a place for fans, but acknowledges the identity of the Komm.

And the removal of the Komm link in the descriptions of GMM videos was made when the nature of the Komm changed from our site to yours.  We saw the vid description as a place to point people to other outlets of ours.  But that was shortsighted...it definitely makes sense to point people to the Komm there, and we're doing it now.

We're approaching this as a transition period - not as every change automatically is a final decision (or even a planned one, in the case of the site banner disappearing).  As much as you all can help steer the Kommunity conversations in a positive direction, that would be great.

Thank you, Rhett. The reinstatement of the link in the video descriptions was a big relief to many, as was the rewording of the Kommunity link on the main website (which does look great!).

Thank you Rhett!  I am sure none of us meant any disrespect.  Quite the opposite as a matter of fact.  That is the reason for the outcry of strong feelings on the matter I am sure.  Thank you for your time and feedback.
