Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

In honor of Rhett sharing his first experience fainting on last week's episode of TMS I thought we could also share our experiences. What had happened to you? What do you think triggers you to faint? (ie. Rhett getting bad medical news)  If you've never fainted, have you ever seen anyone faint?

I'll start,

I've only truly fainted once, but I came close one time since then. The only time I fainted happened when I got my nose pierced almost 2 years ago. It didn't hurt that bad and I felt pretty good when I got down off the table thing. A few minutes later as I was talking to the piercer I noticed the dark haze at the edge of my vision. I noticed he had a very concerned look on his face and I heard him yell "Catch her, she's passing out!" I ended up fainting into my sister-in-laws arms. I woke up a few seconds later back on the table, but otherwise alright. Last year I came very close to fainting when I got my industrial piercing. By then I knew when I was starting to faint and was able to lay down and stay conscious. So, I can safely say that physical trauma causes me to faint.

Several times! Once during class back in 8th grade, once while I was getting a haircut (just slumped over while she was cutting my hair - she freaked out) and whenever I get my blood drawn. Anything with blood will get me though.

I've never actually fainted, but i have come close to it 3 times. In all cases I was SUPER dehydrated and hungry, so i kinda got dizzy and lierally saw stars. I always kinda fell down but never fully fainted.

I've never fainted, but I imagine it wouldn't take much to make me faint. I have a very low pain tolerance and a...dislike of blood.

I've luckily avoided anything like breaking bones, traumatic events, or anything involving significant pain/bloodshed, so that's why I don't know for sure whether I'm a fainter or not.

Yesterday I had another experience with almost fainting. It's embarrassing, but I fell down the steps at my house. I hit my knee and elbow hard enough to make me come pretty close to fainting. What was worse is that right after it happened my family came home and was freaked out thinking I was hurt (I'm okay, just a little sore).
