consider that it was the 1st time i eaten most of these items and that i live in a country town that doesn't do sea food unless its Christmas other wise its a waste of money getting it fresh as no one really eats it in this town

but in saying that i appreciate your comment and when i plan to go to the states i'll plan to try a bit of everything i hear y'all do it differently there, and i hear Louisiana does good gumbo (ive never had it)

You simply don't know how to prepare it properly.

HINT: outside of good smoked kippers and the occasional tuna salad sandwich, no seafood stored in a tin can should ever be consumed

But, hey! you live on a huge island.  Beatuful fresh seafood is plentiful!!!

Come to Lousiana some time and try the good stuff.
