Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!
I was born in Kansas City, Missouri, USA but when I was 9 we moved to a small town in Southern Missouri. I was going from gangsters and the well-breed country club members to hicks and country accents. Talk about a culture shock! The people down here are hicks and there a proud of it too.Now none of this is meant to be offensive in any way but on any given day i have noticed some of the normal recreation might include gigging(frog fishing), noddleing (fishing with your hands), four wheeling, riding dirt bikes, attending and/or participating in a tractor pull (tractors pull heavy weights behind them and whoever pulls the most wins), and eating any number of things often thought of as road kill. Such as frogs, turtles, squirrels, oppossum, and the occational snake.
As a high school student I know there are druggies in every school. In most big cities they go for the really illegal stuff like crack and meth, in Southern Missouri, not so much. Most of the hicks perfer chew and you can find spit bottles every where. In the ditch by the road, in the beds of old trucks parked at Walmart, and even roling around in the back of school buses. I have to say, that is class right there *sarcasm*. Another thing I noticed is that Mullets are a very popular fasion statement here. People don't go to clubs to party here but instead aimlessly roam the local Walmart for hours.
Recently we had a girl move in from New York, New York and man was she surprised. She had made the comment that 90% of the people had southern accents or accents in general. It was kinda funny but true. If you found any of this interesting or have done some of this leave a comment i would love to hear from you. :)

I'm from Texas, but South Texas. That means a lot of ghetto people live in my city... We're close to Mexico (I think that's why) But I'm also from Hawaii. I visit my dad in Hawaii every summer, so I'm always looking forward to it. :)
