Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!
2nd and last post for today.. I like a wide variety of things but 2 of my favorites are Graphic Arts and Forensic Science. Kind of a funny combo but I can tell you the back story on that.. I have a BA in Graphic Arts, I enjoy it, I have always been creative- not so much of a drawer by hand- not my skill, not a web dev or a flash animator- cool stuff but not my strong point. Posters. cards etc that kinda thing- yep up my alley. I am tutor for my college and I tutor as you guessed it, Graphic arts, as well as Management... I don't love Management, I just happen to be good at explaining things related to that.
Now how Forensic Science fits in.. I have been a mystery buff- a large buff at that, I watch it, read it, write ( when I get into writing mode) And 2 months ago, it dawned on me- "Hey you like this so much why not do it as a career, starting by studying it." And as soon as decided I have loved doing that- studying all there is in it, and related to it. I am watching Chemistry on Khan Academy and Wwhat? Liking it yep. I never took it in HS but Khan Academy makes it so its not over my head. To be in FS ( Forensic Science) you need to be versed in either biology or chemistry, both is fine too.. I am interested in improving the field of it, helping solve cases- Real CSI- not like the show because in the real world it is not so easy as they make it. Not glamorous, no but I dont wish to join the police force though but that part of crime solving- yes does appeal to me very much.
So my 2 main passions which I can both do though-only one I have a BA already in, one not yet plan to get one though waiting till my spouse is done with his MA in MIS, spacing out the learning and cost a tad, So for FS my doing is learning right now on my own. ... anyhow I like more than these things but these are my Favorite things and things which have grown from just liking- to doing something with, career opportunities- cuz I don't plan to be a tutor forever, even though I like it.
