The guy on the corner
Sweeps furiously
Avoiding bitter glances
He hides constantly
The guy on the corner
Whom nobody knows
He's hiding from his problems
They always do grow.
The guy on the corner
Knows nobody cares.
He always keeps on going
Though life seems unfair.
The guy on the corner
Prays this too will pass
His problems, his troubles, he's
Trying to surpass.
The guy on the corner
Whom the world passes by
The guy on the corner,
Braver than you or I.
