Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!
I took the test this morning and I managed to at least finish the test but good grief it was a tough one. My complaint is this:
I am a teacher, not a psychology major and the test really focuses on educational psychology. I have had only one semester which in my opinion is really not enough for the amount of information therein.
If I were a doctor or nurse, it would make sense that I would use medical language daily and with my patients and or colleagues at work. for example, "You have a 29 year old male patient in room 312 that is known to be asthmatic for 15 years. He is presently on day 4 with a history of steadily increasing exertional wheezy dysponea with a cough that is producing green sputum."
Point being, educators do not use the teaching and educational psychology language to talk to our students or even the other educators. I have yet to walk ino the teachers lounge and here a conversation that goes like this, "I was trying to develope my complex learning enviroment today based on the constructivist theory of Piaget, while establishing an intersubjective attitude with my students. " I seriously doubt that even half of the teaching staff would even know a fraction of this stuff.
Oh well....so much for my little rant. I am quite at peace about it now.
happy saturday to all...
