R&L withdrawing from fans

In addition to latest news that Rhett and Link handed "the key to Kommunity" to us mythical beasts, I was browsing the forum today and found a topic (now closed for discussion) from the beginning of this summer about how guys forgot their fans and Komunity and became all corporate etc. There were a whole bunch of comments frustrated about Rhett and Link lack of engagement with us fans. I was dying to write a comment, but the topic was closed.

I personally don't understand this frustration. Maybe that's because I found R&L and became mythical beast very recently (beginning of this year), and I didn't experience those times when R&L run this Kommunity themselves. However, any adult person should understand that being an internetainers was always R&L job and main income, so ads and sponsored videos, promoting their merchandise and songs, are the only way guys have a chance to survive, continue working and bringing joy to us. When they started, their videos were much more simple, their families were not as big as they are now, they had much more time on socializing with fans, therefore they had been engaged with Kommunity more. But now their videos became much more superior, and look how many different projects they have for us to enjoy. It is for sure time consuming, not to mention that Rhett and Link have to spend time with their families. 

As long as Rhett and Link keep posting videos, and keep these videos free for mythical beasts to enjoy, we're fine. THAT is how they can show their care and engagement with us - keep working and posting videos.

After all, this is the main reason we are all here, right?
