R&L Duo Contest

I am new to the Kommunity, so I am not entirely sure this is appropriate, so if I offend anyone, I apologize now.

The R&L Duo Contest must have been fixed. Seriously, how could the GMM Mom's have won? Every time they take on these personas, I cringe and skip that part of the video. I do this on a lot of their duos, but none so much as these two. Why would this pair win? The only way I can see them winning is that they are the pair that has appeared the most. This pair is terrible and I really wish they would stop doing them.

So, if I offended anyone, here is your chance to speak out. Also, if you could have chosen the winners, who would it be?

As part of my social media duties for the Kommunity, I regularly check the comment and mention streams of Rhett and Link content on social media sites, and I can assure you that the Good Mythical Moms are very popular characters when they appear. I often see people requesting more appearances by them! It's pretty clear that they aren't your cup of tea, but the GMMoms are liked by more fans than you think. :)

I personally (assisted by the input of a few folks in kommchat) selected the teams for the tournament and picked the initial match-ups for the first round. Aside from that, each pairing throughout the eight (8) rounds of the double elimination tournament was based solely upon the votes placed by those kommunity members who cared enough to voice an opinion.

I also selected and developed the online voting site, and have archived the detailed results from each round of voting, if you would care to audit the reporting. As an example, here is the Round #1 detail in an Excel spreadsheet format: Export Duo - round #1 results.xlsx

I'm in no way offended by your comment, but wanted to take this opportunity to put your mind to rest that there was in no way any "fix" in play. The simple fact is that younger fans and newer members of the Kommunity are more likely to vote and they typically favor the latest, freshest offering. So, for the more seasoned old timers like myself who remember and prefer the days of Seaborne & Roach and the Fabulous Bentley Brothers to the GMMoms and CHUNK, we usually get outvoted.
