Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

As the title clearly states, this really is my very first blog post ever! So, I apologize in advance if it's not all that exciting or anything, but please bare with me, because I'm not exactly sure how this blog thing works yet! (; To the best of my knowledge, I'm just supposed to write about my thoughts, interesting events, or maybe a little bit about me that you probably didn't already know. Assuming that really is what blogs are for, then here it goes:

My name is Emily. I was born in NC, raised in Georgia. I was also home-schooled most of my life (although not, anymore), my parents are divorced, and I am a strong believer in Christ. I have four sisters, one brother, one step-brother, one brother-in-law, and one sister-in-law. In addition, my mom used to take care of multiple Foster children, so I'm used to a lot of kids in the house. I also have a three month old nephew and a niece on the way! I'm the second-to-youngest in my family, which means that while my sister and her husband are off in North Carolina raising their son in a house of their own, I'm at home in the living room studying for finals! I am still in high school, which makes me feel like a real youngster around here sometimes, but I don't really mind it! Believe it or not, I love school! Not just for the social parts, but it just makes me feel... well, more smarter! (; I never did sports, but I'm proud to say I'll be a member of my school's color-guard (flag twirlers) with the marching band at football games next year, which some say is sport-worthy! I really like to feel involved in things, though, which is part of why I love the Kommunity so much!! I discovered good ol' Rhett and Link in late January. My first R&L video was the American Idol Theme Song, then I saw the Pimp My Stroller vid and I was officially hooked! I've been watching, reading, listening to, and enjoying their work ever since, and just look at where it's brought me! :)

I know that was more of a mini biography than a blog post, but if you've made it this far into it, then I feel pretty special! Thanks for taking the time to read all of that, and I promise that next time I'll try to make it more thoughts and less facts! Please feel free to comment below so I know you dropped by! ;D

Wow, that's pretty awesome. I'm glad you wrote this! I was in pep band in high school. My high school was too small for a marching band. I know what you mean about feeling like a youngster around here! haha. I feel that way pretty often, though. =]
