My Thoughts on Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens {Spoiler Alert!}

Spoiler Alert: If you have not seen Star Wars Episode VII and don't want it to be spoiled for you, do not read this post. This post discusses tons of aspects of the movie, including: how it begins, how it ends, major events, characters, BTS, and more!

I am a Star Wars fan, I'm not overly dwelling over it, but I enjoy it. When I went back to school, my friend, who is the biggest Star Wars fan I know, told me that they were coming out with another one. I was shocked that I didn't hear anything about it before! Ever since then, I've been hyped to see it.

My family and I, saw it at the movie theater, with D-Box and 3D, to make a big experience out of it. I wasn't the biggest fan of the D-Box to be honest. The movie was great, it's not my favorite of the Star Wars series, but it definitely wasn't the worst one.

In 2012, Disney bought Lucasfilm for 4 billion dollars. Why this is big for me is, I don't have the best "wrap" with Disney, for different reasons, including subliminal massagery, the killing of mothers, my little sister watches it constantly, etc. This fact led me to have slightly lower expectations for the movie. I also read in an article, that George Lucas began writing scenes for the movie before it was sold to Disney. They rejected it! This is the creator mastermind himself and JJ Abrams, just scraps it! I can't believe that would happen!

Okay now that all that is out of the way, my thoughts on the movie itself. I liked it! It was kind of like a A New Hope (Episode 4), repeated over again with different people.

Han dies. That was the main highlight of the movie. Everyone was all shocked that it happened. I really wasn't surprised. Harrison Ford, the actor that played Han Solo, was by far the biggest actor coming out of Star Wars! The other actors didn't really make it bid. Harrison did! "His career has spanned six decades and includes roles in several Hollywood blockbusters; including the epic war film Apocalypse Now(1979), the legal drama Presumed Innocent (1990), the action film The Fugitive (1993), the political action thriller Air Force One (1997) and the psychological thriller What Lies Beneath (2000). Seven of his films have been inducted into the National Film RegistryAmerican Graffiti (1973), The Conversation (1974), Star Wars (1977), Apocalypse NowThe Empire Strikes Back (1980), Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) and Blade Runner." -Harrison Ford- Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Basically what I'm getting at is, Harrison was the biggest actor in the movie, so they had to pay him the most. Oh look! Now we only have to pay him for half the movie! Bargaining goals.

I don't think that the beginning of the movie is relevant to the rest of the story. I mean come on, am I the only one who thought Poe was supposed to be Luke? It was a good way to introduce Poe and Fin though.

BB-8. Yes, I'm sure all of you who are really interested in this, were waiting for this part. Interesting Fact: BB-8 was actually based off of some of the original designs for R2-D2! I liked him. I still think that nothing can beat C-3PO, he is my favorite character! I do really like the way BB8 rolls!

How it ended: It was a bit of a cliff hanger, but I expected that since it's the start of the third trilogy! Overall, I think that the movie was great! Sorry I was so critical about some aspects, I'm a film making nerd! I kinda expect a lot out of companies like Disney, well because Disney is worth 74.9 billion US dollars.

I hope you all enjoyed this blog post! I know it was really long! If you happen to like Minecraft that check out my Youtube channel for kid-friendly Minecraft content! I also have a video from before the movie was out of talking about my expectations for the movie!

My favorite character is Chewbacca. So much so that I now can do an almost perfect Chewbacca impression and always were my Chewbacca slippers at home. I might even be Chewbacca for Halloween this year!
