I think it's about time for the middle of the story. If anyone has any ideas, feel free to post them:)

At a school, Washington Middle School to be exact, Vicki DeMonte was sitting at her next. In the middle of history she was on her iPhone watching an older GMM. Suddenly the room was shaking.
Vicki:(screaming) Everyone take cover!
Teacher: Vicki what is the matter with you! Get to work!
Vicki is holding her desk as tight as she can. The class around her is staring and some are snickering.
Teacher: Pull yourself together! Am I going to have to send you to the principal's office?
Vicki: Some one get help!
Vicki stands up but everything is still violently shaking. She is very wobbly and trying to get everyone out of the room. She thinks the roof is going to collapse.
Teacher: Ms. DeMonte! Get back in your seat right now!
Vicki stumbles and whacks her head on a nearby desk. She is unconscious.
Student 1: What just happened?
Student 2: Let's just get her outta here.
The class brings her out of the room

Although, the title doesn't have to be Earthquake Child. It's tentative, or can be changed. For now until anyone comes up with an idea of a title I will continue doing so.

And all of them will have one thing in common: RHETT AND LINK!

Huh. So maybe that is a better way for it to start for the Earthquake Child. I can think of many ways it can go then. Or even better, there are multiple people experiencing awakenings of these quakes, and they all are now connected in some way. They all have a gift now of sorts. Character 1: Even. Character 2: James Howard.
How about this? Have lots of people do a template of this pattern from their own way. A person feels a quake that no one else does. They pass out. It can be taken in so many ways, so it will be fun.

On an airplane, destination Oklahoma City, Mr. James Howard is checking on his kommunity page on his iPad. And was laughing at a Mythical Beast's post, when the plane had a horrible jolt. Then another, and another, and continuous shaking. James Howard frantically fumbles for his seatbelt, and can't seem to get it buckled. The whole time praying aloud.
James Howard: God help me! God help me! The plane's going down!
Stewardess: Sir! Sir! Is everything ok?
James Howard is still screaming, and thinking , she's here to help me with my seatbelt.
Stewardess #1: (while stewardess #2 is approaching) Help me restrain him! He going to hurt himself!
As stewardess #2 helps stewardess #1 restrain him...
James Howard: (still screaming) The plane's going down! I can't get the seatbelt!
James Howard jerks away from stewardess, and hits his head on the wall. He becomes unconscious.
In the background other passengers comment...
Passengers: Did he have a seizure? A panic attack? Was he a terrorist?
Narrator: For this has been an uneventful flight...up until now.

Even wakes up hours later in the hospital. The Doctor is standing beside in mid conversationDoctor: ...Seems like he's coming to.
Even: Wha- What happend?
Doctor: It seems like you've had a spill in a cafe. We received a report saying that you were experiencing an "earthquake".
Even: But I was!
Doctor: Sadly, there have been no reports of an actual earthquake, son. It was all in your head.
Even crosses his arms in frustration.
Doctor: Do you have any history of any migraines or head problems?
Even: No.
Doctor: Have you received treatment for such?
Even: Like I said, no. What are driving at?
The Doctor suddenly leaves the room. In the next moment, a man in a white, hospital coat walks in.
Rosa: Hello Mr. Even, I am Doctor Rosa. If you may, can I ask you a few questions about what happened?
Suddenly, Even gets the realization that something is off.
Even: But the doctor before you already asked me about it.
Rosa: Well he shouldn't have been asking you anything. I'm the doctor that's assigned to you.
Even's eyes widen. He then jumps out of the bed and runs out of the room in his hospital gown.
Here's the next part I came up with.

A boy sits in a local cafe sipping his tea and watching Rhett and Link on his computer.
Suddenly the world around him shakes.
Even (Pronounced Evan): EARTHQUAKE!
As the room shakes, no one else seems to care. Other patrons continue drinking coffee, reading books and magazines.
Even: What's wrong with everyone? There's an earthquake happening!
A Patron looks up from his coffee: What's wrong with you, kid? What earthquake are you talking about?
The room shakes even more.
Even: The one happening right now! Doesn't anyone feel it?
Dead silence. All of the other customers at the cafe stare at Even. With the world trembling under his feet, he loses balance and falls over. He hits his head to the ground and blacks out.
How's this for a beginning? And it's totally doable with a camera. Just gotta shake it and add sound effects to show what even is going through. -Vince
