i need to talk about it:/

Recently i feel that there is no true reason that schools are there......you can not teach intelligence you can only teach facts. The schools ever since you were little you were taught about a wide variety of subjects that you will not need in the future because they end up pushing you into one feild anyways. Also you forget all the pointless facts as you grow older.

You dont need school to learn useful skills especially since they dont teach them. And learning things you wont need is a waist of time....you could acctually use that time to actually go out in the world and learn..how can you learn if u dont get to experience new things.

Y do schools have the right to tell us what we should and shouldnt learn....WE DONT NEED IT and we dont need them. If people wanted to learn that stuff they would go out and learn it I mean I go out and lear science and then already know all the stuff that they want to teach....its sad really that they make u waist ur time in school so you can "scuceed in life" NOT TRUE!! but now a days to go into anyfeild at college u have to learn those pointless facts and I really hate that cuz you dont need those facts for your profession. ugh it just makes me really mad.........if anyone knows any alternitives for high school plz let me know...thanks:)

I can also landscape, paint, and fix my cooler....oh and i can make many typed of jewelry......if i already can learn by myself and am only 15 y do i need highschool.....its just i really do not like the sysetem that they present for learning and the fact to suceed in life u have to complete school where u dont need it

There should definitely be more of a focus on writing in school. Never underestimate the power of the written word! It will get you far in life. Math is valuable to an extent, but unless you're going into a math-based career field a lot of the required learning can be a bit pointless. I also think that history is important. I am constantly baffled by how LITTLE historical knowledge a lot of people have!

As far as your feelings about high school go, I feel your pain. You can always consider going to a trade school instead of a traditional college. Like me, I will be starting cosmetology school soon... which you can enter with just a GED. Just find something you love and go after it! Don't let anyone ever look down on you!
