Alone in the Darkness

Alone in the darkness

The night shines down,

Darkness surrounds me,

Nothing but the faulty street-light

Flickering … on and off…

In a blink of an eye.

No one around to hear me,

           I scream out but all I hear is my echo,  

I wander round aimlessly hoping to stumble upon something.

Nothing in my mind,

Strong winds blow,

I feel and hear the thud of my heart,

Am I dying or am I just alone.

No one around no one to help,

Suddenly every object turns jet black,

Nothing is here.

I see the faulty light in the distance

Any yet no matter how fast or far I run

i can’t get to it

I am officially alone… In the dark-ness
