Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

For those wondering where I've been, well...I've been around, just extremely busy.

Every now and then I poke my head out of the office to chime in with an update or two...

I manage a website called Autisable.com.   It's a site dedicated to help the Autism Community, as we are a part of that community.  My son has Autism.

I've been spending much of my time between a full time job, dealing with drama in our home (home repair), being a husband/father and managing two websites.  So updating via a blog has been a bit of a time crunch challenge for me.

Well, a milestone was reached yesterday - one that has taken many months to come into fruition.

Autisable has partnered with Autism Society - a national organization that helps families with Autism.

Phone calls, e-mails, discussions...between a few companies...all came into full fledged growth yesterday.

Autism Society is now using Autisable as it's social blogging community platform, and a portion of its revenue will go to Autism Society.

I'm working on a project for next year now, to help raise funds for Autism Society - and I hope to keep y'all posted.

On another more Kommunity related note -

The toolbar is being used regularly by many in the Komm, and I'm glad to see it starting to carry a life of it's own.  Rhett and Link are well deserved of their new TV show, so I'm going to help where I can over the next couple of months to promote their efforts.   It's nice to see two guys from NC achieve their vision and dreams.

If we can help them, and we see them succeed - who else can we help?

Until later...back to the grind.

Good to know Dreidel.  Many people on the spectrum are already contributing on the site.  Feel free to join in if you'd like.

Thanks Gumbo,  it is a labor of love.

Site design is a collaborate effort with Xanga.com - but thanks again.

I'm just very grateful.

CONGRATS on the acheivement, Ed.  The site looks fantastic - - - I can certainly see the hours you have put into its development.  Hardly looks like a "side project" at all. One would think this was your full-time job.  Hope you don't mind, but I'm postings an image from the site as it appears today with a hyperlink to the front page for other Mythical Beasts to have easy access to the site if they want to visit and become involved.  Keep up the good work.
