So 4 years ago I was shot in the mouth with a high powered airsoft gun, breaking my top lateral left incisor(#10) in half at the bone line (separating the visible portion from the root a millimeter bellow the gum line). Since my jaw was still growing at the time the fix was to bond the detached cap to its neighbors and through a series of root-canals fill it with a post and wait till I'm old enough for an implant. Now that I am 19 the option presented itself to replace the broken tooth with a permanent implant. Now in response to your epic rap battle of manliness I plan to request my left incisor be replaced with a flat-head screw-driver. As of today (july 3rd) it has a titanium root with the old crown glued in place to cover it while it the titanium slowly bonds to the bone over the next three-four months. Then sometime around thanksgiving i will see whose tooth has the better bite, philips vs flat.
*notice* while the story is true I do not intend to place a bit on the titanium root I have just put in unless it is a removable option for novelty. This is also my first blog post so when you throw me to the wolves laugh extra hard.
