Kritanta- Cockatrice

"Perhaps a distant relative of both Dragons and Phoenixes, the Cockatrice, due to its poisonous breath and voracious appetite, is possibly the most dangerous of the Pseudo-Dragons. A direct descendant of the Archaeopteryx of Prehistory, the Cockatrice was once widespread throught the countries of the Mediterranean but is now confineed to a few remote mountain forests."
