Metal is a good conductor of heat, so all of the heat would just go straight through it and into the air. I'd go into the thermodynamics of it, but I'm too lazy. And cardboar is a new material, made of 90% science and 10% bacon, it completely halts any heat ever. I may use fire in a later version, this is just the beta.

Wait......wouldn't metal hold heat longer than that stuff? Why don't you use metal? Or fire???

This is my Thermal Insulator Box. It's a science project at school, my teacher will pour boiling water into the plastic tubing via funnel, and this box is supposed to keep that water hot for as long as possible.
