Here is a picture of a Wolpertinger (Vol-per-ting-ar) a mythical beast from Bavaria in Germany, it has the body of a hare, wings on an eagle, and strangely, the teeth of a vampire. It is described as being shy, but comes out to the image of a beatiful woman.

WHo knows id the RandLer is a Wolpertinger? But there it looks like a rat with antlers and wings, as the Wolpertingers features include vampire fangs, and the body of a hare. I'm also noticing the RandLer has quite a big tail, whilst in the picture of the Wolpertinger it has a short a bushy stump for a tail.
hmmmmm . . . does this mean that our beloved RandLer has been a wolpertinger all this time and we didn't know it?

Bavarian folklore tells of the wolpertinger (also called wolperdinger, poontinger or woiperdinger), a mythological hybrid animal allegedly inhabiting the alpine forests of Bavaria in Germany. It has a body comprised from various animal parts — generally wings, antlers, tails and fangs, all attached to the body of a small mammal. The most widespread description portrays a horned rabbit or a horned squirrel.
