Rhett had an idea for a down-ramp across the ocean. I thought, why not an up-ramp into space?

Plus, that section of the Andes is nearest to the equator, which means that the spin of the earth will contribute most to the velocity of the rocket at this location on top of the fact that it is the closest to space of any other place in the world!
