We could go with that story; I'm of the crop of cartoonists that draws three fingers and a thumb. Some say we're too lazy or untalented to draw all the digits... in actuality it's an effort to save time and money (True story- that's why Bugs Bunny, Mickey Mouse, and all of the classics are missing fingers).
