Never had rain fall upwards but in my part of Oregon, we get lots of rain and with enough wind it comes in kind of sideways.

Hooray for sideways rain! (Waves)

On Star Trek TNG the maximum speed of NCC-1701D  warp of 9.6 or about 41.2 trillion km/hr and, according to Star Trek Encyclopedia, transwarp is about twenty times the speed of light . . . so how come they put headlights on the darn thing?

Guess I totally missed that episode where they traveled to the planet inhabited by gigantic Asian sci-fi nerds.

I think about what will it be like when A.I. becomes smarter that the humans that created the program, will it create an army to rise against us or will it teach us things that we never could have known without help?

Considering A.I. phenomena like Caption Fail, I don't think we need to worry about it yet.  :)

Me and my science teacher were talking about this one time and how scary it is. Like, I told him I want to be a writer, and he said, "I don't mean to alarm you, but I read this article saying that half of the news is now written by computers." And we just talked about how crazy that is. Already a computer has a job that a human could be payed for! I think it is very possible that technology could take dominance over humans in the future. Maybe not the near future, but in the future.

In Washington and Oregon  -  yes it can. The only direction I've never seen it go is up  -  and I wouldn't be shocked to see that.
