Why is 19 such an awkward age?

Have you even noticed how it seems like almost every other year is attached to something great, but 19's just this awkward year where you're kind of an adult, but not really. You can't rent a car, you can't pass a credit check because your credit's not "established", and people still expect your parents to be taking care of everything for you. Or am I the only one who sees it that way.

OMLGG! That is soooo amazing! I wish I could say the same thing. I guess I just feel like 19 is that age where you're like. "Uh oh, in 12 months my age won't end in "Teen" anymore.

I have had a weird experience at 19...for my birthday I had a song written for my by an artist I admire...I then went on to follow her on tour...I slept on a beach and in my car to avoid paying for a hotel. I was in a movie. I went to my first night club. I sold my first painting...and above all else...I found out what freedom really is. Freedom is being able to just be alive somewhere. To just be. I lived these 6 months in a way you only read about in books. And I love it.

I want to do all these things while I'm young.
