There are 5, but only 3 of us are planning on attending.

DC MYTHICON IS ONLY 4 DAYS AWAY

I've been getting a lot of questions about how this works, so here are the rules of the road for everyone:

• Where are we meeting/How do we find the host? DC Mythicon is being held at the Smithsonian National Zoo starting on July 18 at 1:00 p.m. I will be standing just inside the main walk-in entrance on Connecticut Avenue. I'm going to wear my blue GMM shirt and wear a lanyard with an identification card on it -- I'm pretty short, so keep an eye out and don't miss me! :)

• Does it cost anything? Regular admission to the National Zoo is free, but if you're driving into the city (rather than taking the metro or walking), the zoo charges a $22 parking fee. Please make your travel arrangements accordingly.

• Does Mythicon include lunch? I suggest you eat lunch before you arrive, if possible! I currently don't have any definite plans to take a lunch break during Mythicon, but if a majority of people want to stop for food (inside the zoo), we can do that. In that case, you might want to bring money for food if you get hungry.

• What happens at Mythicon? We will be starting Mythicon by doing some icebreaker introductions -- your name, how you found Rhett and Link, your favorite video, etc. After that we'll be doing a trivia competition. Then we'll hang out and walk around the zoo -- at some point we'll record a Wheel of Mythicality video, as well!

• How long does Mythicon last? Mythicon will last at least an hour as we hang out and talk R&L. After that, everyone is free to stay at the zoo as long as they want -- it's a huge place with lots to explore!

BONUS: The first 15 people who find me at the zoo will receive a little Mythicon goody bag. :)

BONUS!!! wait a minute . . . are those the same chocolate chip and Surströmming cookies left over from last year's goody bags?  Can those still be good? Were those things ever good?

Hi, everyone! It's forecast to rain on and off today, so bring your raincoats and umbrellas! We're still having Mythicon regardless of the weather.

If it's raining at 1:00 when we're supposed to meet, I'll be standing inside the Visitor Center building -- the first building when you walk into the zoo -- instead of outside by the benches. There are also still plenty of indoor exhibits to see at the zoo if it continues to rain. Hope to see you all there! :)
