I would like to recommend the great artist: Hoodie Allen. Words of Wisdom is one of their more popular songs.. Make sure to check them out!

Been neglecting this group, whoops ^^

@Sarah I've been listening to The White Stripes "Elephant" lately, also Joey Ramone's solo album "Don't Worry About Me" has gathered my attention.

@ Johnny Stratman - -

Trololo is okay, but just a bit too silly for my taste. I would place that under a COMEDY instead of MUSIC category.

On the other hand, check out a French artist Féloche who combines a whimsical video with real musical ability. Even if you don't uncerstand the lyrics (in French) or particularly like the musical style, I think you'd have to agree that this music is fun. . . ENJOY!

Besides the typical pop stuff, this is also a great way to highlight alternative music genres.

How about a some tunes with a little CAJUN flair? Here are the Red Stick Ramblers from my home town of Baton Rouge, LA.

. . . or, if you want to go full-fledged Cajun, none better than BeauSoleil. ENJOY!

Not to mention that they were also the inspiration for MY favorite band of all time - The Monkees!! I know, I know - they we're a made-for-tv band but who cares? I love em just the same. My checkbook cover is a Monkee. My mouse pad is The Monkees. The sound when my computer turns on is The Monkees. My desktop wallpaper is a painting by a Monkee. Okay - I think ya get the picture :)

Haha yeah I know. It's so true. But these are "metalheads". No offence to anyone here that digs heavy metal, but to me, it's like a meeting of totally different cultures. If something isn't pure adrenaline, such people won't even take the time to listen to it. It all comes down to what people believe makes a band great. The genius in the Beatles' music is so obvious to me that it blows my mind when people can't see it. Their loss.
