I'm gonna have to go with "Blade Runner." It was the first VHS tape I ever owned...before I even owned a VCR! I have the director's cut and the original cut on DVD and my husband got me the awesome collector's edition for the 25th anniversary...comes in a little brief case with toys and stuff! There's something so special about the "sanctity of life" message in that film!
I have lots of favorites. But the movie I watch over and over is Bottle Rocket. It never gets less funny. Even now that Luke and Owen Wilson are old news, they are still PERFECT in that movie.
I also love A Room With a View. Its super romantic and a little bit different from other period pieces. It is also the first movie I saw Helena Bonham Carter in, and I fell in love with her doll face. Still love her.
I have so many favorite movies, this is a very hard question. But the one that I will watch over, and over, and over again is The Lion In Winter with Hepburn and O'Toole. Okay, and I love Paul Scofield in A Man for All Seasons.
Dumb and Dumber is my all time favorite movie, so many memorial quotes and is one of the few movies I can watch over and over and it never gets old. Monty Python and the Holy Grail is a close second for all the same reasons.
The Royal Tenenbaums and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Chas: Well, I don't know what you think you're gonna get out of this, but believe me, whatever it is, it's not worth it. Richie: Chas. I don't want to hurt you. I know what you and the boys have been through. You're my brother and I love you. Chas: Stop saying that!
Clementine: This is it, Joel. It's going to be gone soon. Joel: I know. Clementine: What do we do? Joel: Enjoy it.
Well at the moment my two favorites are How to train your Dragon and Inception. HTTYD totally surprised me. went to the theater with my sister thinking, " Hm, this show is probably gonna be lame...oh well!" and well, it wasn't lame at all. It was AWESOME! and Inception? A mix of Matrix, James Bond, a tad bit of Star Wars, plus Leonardo Dicaprio and that one guy from third rock? AWESOME!!!
Pretty much any Superhero movie or any of the Star Wars Saga movies are in my favorite movie list, but My favorite movie is one that didn't get much notoriety in the Movie Theatres, but it has somewhat of a cult following. The movie is Equilibrium.
