Your opinions on the idea of a multiverse?

For those who don't know, a multiverse is the idea that we are not the only universe around and that there are several "multiverses", or multiple universes. That our Big Bang, triggered others. Scientists hypothesize that there may be so many of these multiverses, that there could be another "us". And that "us" could be doing the exact same thing as you right now, or they could be living completely different lives for instance. I find this could be a controversial theory and I would like to hear people's opinions on it.

I know this is a little off the topic of stargazing but still somewhat relevant.
