Best experience while star gazing?

So I was at this camp where we were walking through the woods at night, and it was so dark that I literally could not see anything. Suddenly, we got out of the woods to an open plain and I was just mindblown. I've spent most of my life in cities, and never in my life had I seen so many starts. I keep looking up, almost stumbling as we were walking. I am very interested in astronomy, so I love thinking about all the worlds and pehomenoms that are out there.

My next goal is to see Saturn with my telescope. :3

When I was reenacting at Columbus Belmont state park we had just finished setting up camp it was picth black minus the campfire,  i was tired and when I looked up I saw a meteor

rushing across the sky, mars,all the constellation's and the white lines of the milky way it was the most amazing thing I had ever seen
