New York - the "not just New York City" State.

When you live in upstate New York, you can't just say "I live in New York", because everybody always assumes you mean New York City. People forget about the rest of the state. It gets very annoying. lol

So, I'm saying hello from Schenectady, here in upstate NY :-)

But hopefully you'll stop in and say hi no matter where you are in NY :-)

I completely understand. I have family in Seattle that believed that New York State was just New York City. I had to explain that the state is much, much bigger than that!

Ugh! Tell me about it! I am 12 and I lived the first 7 years of my life in Cortland, NY (around Syracuse) and everyone thinks I'm from NYC. Now I'm an actor, so I'm in NYC a lot too though! lol.

Oh, I've been to Schenectady! We have a property near there.

I'm in Babylon, which is about an hour or two away from the city. Our beaches are nice, but that's about it. (I'm the only beast around here... D: Tis sad)

My family has a property near there (Greenfield Center or something like that) where we go all the time. I'm pretty sure it doesn't really count but yeah.
