I almost decided not to watch this episode because the thumbnail is so dreadful and the concept sounded like it, too...but being a dedicated MB, I watched it anyway.

Have they talked about the paper made from elephant dung on GMM before? Link seemed surprised by it, so maybe they didn't, but I've definitely heard of it before and I thought it was via someone on YouTube. Also, Moose and I actually saw a children's book made of paper from recycled elephant dung in the shop of the Smithsonian Zoo, so I guess you can get that kind of thing in the U.S. as well. (The book itself was about creating better relationships between wild elephants and humans and was by this company http://mrelliepooh.com, but I don't see the book in their store.)

A really catchy name and an innovative logo.

Was this not the book you saw at the zoo?

ON A PERSONAL NOTE:

Take it from someone who has performed numerous collateral audits for asset based lenders over the years . . . and taken the plant tour of everything from carpet mills to auto parts and tire distributors to beef processors . . . I definitely don't want to be the one that has to perform any test counts and quality checks on "raw materials" when inventory time rolls around.

Our Paper

All of our paper products are 100% recycled. They are made up of 50% fiber from elephant dung and 50% post consumer paper. There are no toxic chemicals used in our paper making process. Natural vegetative binding agents, along with water-soluble salt dyes for coloring are used. Mr. Ellie Pooh’s papers are handmade, acid free and as organic as it gets.

Never mind . . . I found it:
