The egg and the seaweed make be cringe the most. Yuck! I do not like hard boiled eggs and I don't like sushi because of seaweed.

The bacon one looked pretty good and I really want to try it. Maybe my next cook out. :)

the egg one definitely grossed me out. the seaweed one I've had those before so I know exactly what they are tasting. Link hit the nail on the head. Then the crayons were pretty gross too.

I'm disappointed they didn't do a taco ice cream sandwich!

I really want to try the peanut butter one (with thinner layers of PB), the bacon one, and the lettuce/cabbage one (which though strange, does actually sound good).

Now it's time for the ULTIMATE MEAL challenge:

Pot pie and gefilte fish tacos topped with shreaded packing peanuts, seaweed, crickets and dung beatles . . . served with a ghost pepper infused pork blood dipping sauce.

Then, for dessert, a tangy salmiakki*-filled filled cronut topped with a scoop of boiled egg ice cream.

And, of course, wash it all down with a nice steaming mug of catpoop coffee.

YUM YUM!

I was okay with the idea of a seaweed ice cream sandwich; Link's gag reaction to it is what grossed me out. >.>

Rhett wondered why there isn't a lot of dairy in Asian cuisine -- Asians are actually genetically prone to lactose intolerance. Whether that's a result of not having readily-available dairy products or conversely the reason they avoid producing readily-available dairy products, I don't know. I just know it's hard to find cheese in most Asian countries, and if you do it's likely to be imported and rather expensive.

Yes, I was surprised that Rhett didn't know the reason! I thought it was common knowledge, although I may be unusually informed by being a university where a significant fraction of the graduate students are Chinese (in my dept something like 1/3rd our grad students are Chinese).

Isn't most of the world lactose-intolerant? For some reason I thought still making lactase as an adult was some kind of weird mutation that was retained if your culture kept ruminants. I am going to look for a lactose tolerance map of the world.
