I had a friend in elementary school who was a genius. His parents kept him in school because they knew that while he was very intelligent, his maturity level and other aspects of socializing were incredibly important. He was always super advanced in his extra studies but he stayed with me until high school and then he left for college. I think I would do the same. I know that he was thankful for his childhood.
