What have your "church experiences" been like?

Wanted to share that about 6 months ago we had to leave our church due to lack of leadership and some other things that were just going way wrong. Some people were being very hurtful to my brother and many other people and the leadership did nothing about it and handled it poorly.

It was a HARD thing to do... it was like family to us, a home.  It took me  many months later to realize that a church is simply run by people and if I put all my faith in a church, I will get let down.  

I now know it's not about that. Yes, church is important in our spiritual growth and fellowship and now, we have been attending two different churches and worshiping and realizing that it is NOT about the church and all the things you do there, and sometimes we forget that... It's about CHRIST and your fellow brothers and sisters regardless of what church they go to.

So, at 13, I've learned to keep my eye on Jesus, regardless of any church or place where I am at. HE is my focus.
