How do you all cope with the horrible youtube ads?

Usually I watch GMM from my phone but every now and then I sit at the computer to watch. Lately I have been horrified by some of the ads in the side bars. I even have the safety on our youtube account because our 9 year old son watches minecraft videos sometimes. With the safety on I cannot view comments but I can see ads with profanity in big bold letters?!? And do you think that youtubers like R & L have any control over the ads that appear on the page with their videos? In the past I have sometimes found Sunday School lesson videos on youtube but now I am afraid to show anything from there in church. It's crazy! I have complained to youtube a few times but they just ignore me.

I get what your saying, but as far as I know, youtubers do not have control. Maybe you can look for sunday schools on a different site than youtube....Anyways good luck!

just to clarify, I don't always pull things from youtube for sunday school but have occasionally found a great little story for a filler like a bible story made with lego etc ;) (lately I am just afraid to use anything from there, which is too bad as I have found some great things on there!)

Did you ever see the Bentley Brothers songs from the What's in the Bible series on there? It's made by the guy who started Veggie Tales, and the "Bentley Brothers" are Rhett and Link. They sing songs about books of the Bible. :-)

Installing an ad-blocker would get rid of them for you. There's one called Adblock Plus which blocks all ads on all sites, or there's one called AdToast which might work for just Youtube ads. As long as your browser is Chrome or Firefox you should be able to install the ad block extensions - Internet explorer doesn't have extensions.

Really?? I had no idea such a thing existed- lol! I will look into that for sure (I use Chrome)! I guess I am just shocked that these kind of ads are allowed in the first place and no one else seems to notice or say anything :(

I have adblock. It's pretty nifty, it blocks out all ads on youtube, facebook, etc. Very useful. I don't know what to do about youtube comments though
