I had already made a list of my choices for actors, and here it is. A lot of these are REALLY self-indulgent. Holly is my favorite, so I considered her carefully and chose two actresses.

For Artemis: Jared Gilmore (Who plays Henry Mills on Once Upon a Time)

(Because we can't de-age Benedict Cumberbatch)

For Holly: Either Jolene Blacklock (Who played sub-commander T'pol in Star Trek Enterprise)

T'Pol at P'Jem

Or Carmen Ejogo (Who was Rebecca 'Beck' Riley in Zero Hour)

I didn't get a real original one for Butler. ):

For Mulch: Jorge Garcia (Who was 'Hurley' in LOST)

The rest of my cast list is; Liam Neeson (Qui-Gon Jinn) as Foaly, Jonathan Frakes (Commander Riker)as Julius Root, Robin Wright (Princess Buttercup) as Angeline Fowl, Neal McDonough (Wyatt Kane) as Artemis Senior, and Rose McGowan (Young Cora) as Opal Koboi.

I've always though that Jason Statham would be a good choice for Butler, even though he's not Eurasian, he has presence and you can take him seriously as a tough guy.

I had to look him up (Shame on me, I know), and I agree. The other one I missed was Juliet. The rest of the characters are pretty minor.

I think Asa Butterfield would make a good Artemis, but he's a bit too old now. Sigh.

I always thought Tom Felton would make a great Artemis, but again, too old. Hero Fiennes-Tiffin would make a great Artemis as well.
