Who do you think is the better singer: Rhett or Link?
Another reason is that the one thing that Rhett's voice seems to lack (in my opinion of course) is soul. When I hear Rhett sing, I don't really feel any emotion behind it. I'm not saying he should go OTT in every single song he sings (that'd get very old, very fast) but I like my singers to actually sound like they feel the song which is exactly what Link does (just watch his version of Rolling in the Deep and you'll see what I mean)
Again, this isn't meant to bash Rhett or Link but simply give your opinion on who you think is the better singer of the two and why. So: talk away!!

I'm throwing my vote behind Rhett. I just like the deeper quality of his voice, what can I say...Link can be a bit nasally sometimes when he's singing.
They do tend to keep it so that Rhett sings in the deeper registers and Link goes higher, which is why I remember being really surprised in Nilla Wafer Top Hat Time when they reversed their melodic roles.

I've noticed that Link sings somewhat nasally too, though I half suspect it might be his "comedic" voice -- If you listen to old covers buried on R&L2 ("Say It Ain't So", this one , and Hoover Dam), he sounds more full and less nasally. While I probably wouldn't like hearing Link sing solo for hours in his usual "R&L songs" voice, I do really like his voice on those songs and wouldn't mind listening to *that*.

Link just has a higher vocal register than Rhett, which is why he's able to pull off high notes better, so I think that's an unfair basis of comparison. You could just as easily say Rhett's better because he can hit killer bass notes that Link can't. Of course, if you prefer higher voices, that's perfectly fine. :P
Have you listened to their older songs? Plenty of emotion behind Rhett's voice on the Water Dispensing Tab song, in my opinion.
I think they're equally skilled singers. Some people have pointed out that Link tends to be nasally, but I think that's his "comedic song voice" and not reflective of his normal singing voice, which I do like (ie, how he sings in covers). As to which I prefer....hmmmmm. That's tough. I'm a sucker for low voices, which leans me toward Rhett, but on the other hand, I really enjoy good harmony, which would mean Link. So it's kind of a tossup. If I *had* to pick one to sing to me solo for an hour, I think Rhett would win, but just barely, and mostly because of his vocal register.

I agree with what people are saying completly! I dunno I'm love all their stuff. I think Rhett's voice sounds really good in Internet Overdose/Lonely Sad Little Water Dispensing Tab and songs like that
I also adore Link on Hoover Dam and also prefer Link on Epic Rap of Manliness and Thoughtful Guy, I just like his voice when he raps.
(ALSO I WISH LINK WOULD USE THE ENCYCLOPEDIA RAP VOICE AGAIN....so smexy....)

This is really hard to say, because Link usually does the Backup singing.
