What Makes Rhett and Link so Funny and Entertaining?
My mom and brother think Rhett and Link are stupid. I'm trying to tell them Rhett and Link are funny but they won't listen to me. I'm starting this forum to show my mom and brother that many other people (and not just me) think they are funny and the reason why.

They have a bunch of crazy ideas and off-beat humor. That's what I like about them. It's hard to say why I find GMM so entertaining. It's fun to listen to and they don't take it too seriously. Their sarcasm if pretty funny too. I start laughing hysterically at some they stories they tell.

Why I think Rhett and Link are funny is because you can relate to them. They bring up crazy topics and they remind me of my best friend and I. Also since they are adults it makes it even more interesting (me not being and adult) to see that they can be just as crazy as I can be. They have a nice, friendly style of just being human. Their human, not some cover up story. You get to see who they are as people and they just are awesome.

Technically, humor is subjective. For example, one person may think that a video of someone running down the street and running face-first into a sign is hilarious, while someone else thinks it's either stupid, or even feels bad for the person. The person who actually hit the sign may find it even less funny, at least until later in their life when they can look back and laugh.
However, I love Rhett and Link because their style of humor is quirky, like me (hence the subjective part). Objectively, however, their humor CAN appeal to any audience, technically. Since they do not rely on toilet humor (Perfect Bathroom Trip notwithstanding) or profanity to be funny (even though that can be funny in context) they are very unlikely to drive anyone away by offending them, but even people who like toilet humor can find them funny. Therefore, they can potentially have one of the largest audiences in the world.
And, as Phantomgirl22 said, they are relatable. When you watch enough GMM, you get a good handle on their personalities, and you feel like you could just hang out and talk with them all day. They look straight at the camera, and they just be themselves. One of my life goals is to meet them because they just appear to be so awesome. I'd rather meet them than any other celebrity on the planet.

I like Rhett and Link because they are just plain funny and aren't afraid of looking a little silly, which is cool. Plus I like that they don't need to use profanity to get a laugh. I love that they love their wives and kids! My sister thinks they're funny but I know my mom wouldn't get it, and that's okay.
