What is your Mythical Beast name, Why did you pick it and what does it mean???

Please tell us your mythical name
Why did you choose this name for yourself
What does it means???

Mine is Horphin.
Horse and Dolphin
I chose this name because I love these two animals.
The horse is a great and wonderful land animal. When Jesus comes back He will be on a White horse.
I love the dolphin becasue of it's gentleness and grace when you see them swimming. I first feel in love the dolphin when I was a little girl after watching "Flipper". The island of the blue Dolphin was one of my favorite books and movie.

There are my reason for my name what is yours?

AHA! That's where I recognized those from! I spent many many middle school-age hours playing Zelda on the original Nintendo!

Octotektite- Octorok and Tektite- foes from the Legend of Zelda game series
Octoroks are round and hard shelled or sometimes jellyfish-like creatures that have a round snout with which to shoot rocks. They have appeared in every Zelda game in the series. In order to defeat them, Link must target them and put up his shield to deflect the rock back at it.
Tektites are four legged, one eyed, jumping spider-like creatures. They have hard exoskeletons and can jump on the surface of water as well as land. A vertical sword slash usually does away with these critters quickly.
I didn't look these up.. I already knew this information.. am I a nerg or what? (nerg is a nerd-geek)
my profile photog is my concept of an octotektite.
LOL LOL LOL!! Ah, I like you Barb. You are so creative and brilliant!

I think we've had this discussion a long time ago, but I don't mind repeating. I'm the Gaelic Thistlefish which is a combination of part of my heritage (Gaelic), the flower of Scotland (thistle) and the Celtic horoscope (Salmon for August). But here's what a true Gaelic Thistlefish is:

The Gaelic Thistlefish is a plaid Scottish fish, resembling a salmon, but with varying plaid designs and sharp Velcro-like ‘barbs.’ When caught, the immature thistlefish can be hung from any nappy fabric as a trophy. Wise and knowledgeable, the thistlefish is a visionary. They are also tasty with tartar sauce which brings out the Tartan flavor.

The mature thistlefish loses the barbs and replaces them with long reed-like protrusions and a bloated plaid belly. They are often mistaken for bagpipes, but this is far from the truth as they are very difficult to play, producing only a loud, raspy, screeching noise. It is rumored that all bagpipes are in actuality Gaelic thistlefish.
I'll post mine again too. I am a Land Shark. The first known sighting was on "Saturday Night Live" in the 70's when "Jaws" was the phenom. The Land Shark is considered the cleverest of all sharks. Unlike the great white shark, which tends to inhabit the waters and harbors of recreational beach areas, the Land Shark may strike at any place, anytime.

Most people think I'm pretty quiet and shy, but those who are close enough to really know and observe me know that I'm a silent and clever prankster. So watch out when someone knocks at the door...it just might be a Land Shark.

Here's the classic skit if you've never seen the Land Shark in action.

Well, let's see...
Razom actually means 'together' in Ukrainian, which I discovered from the song, "Razom Nas Bahato."
It's a kind of revolutionary song for the recent events in Ukraine.
I really just liked the word, and now I use it on several different sites.
As for what my beast looks like, it's a dog with white eyes and a smile full of sharp teeth, because on another site I frequent, I have a custom avatar with that kind of face and dog ears.
So there really isn't a beast, mythical or otherwise, called a "Razom," I just really like the name and use it all the time. x]
My Mythical Beast name is "Chickcharnie." When my husband asked what a Chickcharnie was, I said, "...basically a short, irritable creature. But they're nice if you bring them flowers." He laughed and said, "Well. That's fitting!" :)
"I'm only a dolphin, Ma'am." Good to see that again, Tammy, and yes, you are a clever, clever person, sister dear. You can come knocking on my door any time you want. :)

Zunidale - It's a mix between a Zebra, Unicorn and Cleidsdale horse! :) The reason? No specific one really. To be honest, I found the picture of my creature before I knew the name. I liked the picture, I made up the name, and BOOM - it was my mythical beast :)
Mine is "the Flolf". A mysterious flying wolf that has mystical mind powers.
mine is a type of ancient fire dragon
Silent Siren is my mythical beast name.
See meaning of the Siren from Mel who used the Latin version: Salerbatis.
Yet unlike the stereotypical Siren whose mystical songs lure men to come hither, I'm Silent...
That's 'cuz I'm married.

Salerbatis -- Pronunciation: \sā-lər-bā-tis\
Etymology: Latin Salerbatis is a Latin term for what is commonly known as a Siren. Directly translated it means "sailor bait".

Sirens lure sailors to their deaths by distracting them with enchanting songs until the poor fellows crash their ships into the rocks. I like to think that I have a voice that could sink a thousand ships. (you can interpret the last sentence however you like...)
My mythical beast name is Parasitic Hippocamp.
A parasite is a microscopic creature that can do all sorts of cool stuff, like wreak havoc in your gut and what not. A hippocamp is a water horse. So my mythical creature is a Parasitic Hippocamp.
my mythical name is Cyrax, has no meaning but it was a name of a character in MK3, a machine built for one purpose.
