Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

Hey Rhett and Link, I was making this post so maybe you guys could discuss something thats been on my mind lately. With increased technological use people and children are using devices more frequently. There are quite a few people who have made videos on the predicament and standing up to the issue saying we should slim down the ammount we spend on our phones.

Here is a video on the basis of what Im saying. http://youtu.be/Z7dLU6fk9QY

I was curious to see your view on the subject considering you are Internetainers and depend on technology to do your job. Are you against or with the fact that humans have become so close to devices?

Interesting. As a parent of four home school kids, two being teenagers, we find ourselves being part of a minority on smart mobile devices. We never needed them. Sure we have internet at home, but the kids don't even have access to that unattended. My observation of how people walk in to pools and crash their vehicles is one of pure astonishment. It's almost like the old story where the frog is in the pot of water and it just keeps getting warmer. It doesn't notice, and then it's too late. Not meaning to do crazy talk here. Technology is not the devil, people are just forgetting how to unplug and enjoy their ice cream before it melts. Just my bitcoin.

As a family, we actually still go to the library twice a week. The kids love it. We eat meals together, and watch R&L at breakfast. Technology can be a very healthy aspect of your life, but it shouldn't BE your life. Like anything else, if you have too much of anything, all of it beings to have less meaning. If you have a bazillion friends are any of them important? If you can't miss a text or a call are you missing real life?

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to watch the 37th GMM for today, and check all the threads in the forum to make sure nothing new got posted since an hour ago :P
