Home of Rhett & Link fans - the Mythical Beasts!

the mythical show season 1 ended, and I must say that it was a fantastic show.

so now I've decided to make a list, of my top 10 favorite segments from the mythical show. by segments I mean individual parts of a specific episode, for example "forest patrol: the dongle", and this can include both in-studio segments (like the ADHD test) and pre-recorded sketches (like the clown sharks song).

now keep in mind that this entire list is my opinion, so please don't complain if your personal favorites aren't in here.

10. The color taste test

this is a pretty simple and very funny sketch. it's sort of like a classic competition between Rhett and Link, (which of course rhett won, as he always wins when it comes to food). it had some great lines like "I can taste the whiteness", and it's always funny seeing Rhett and Link shove food at each other.

also, just look at Rhett, look at him, with this underwear and glasses combo, this alone made the sketch for me.

9. Rules of play

also known as "most complicated board game ever"

as a fan of complicated board games, I think this segment a great parody of them, and also some other kinds of games, like D&D (the D20) and even twister. it had some great and unexpected elements (cut your pinky? get 2 babies?) and great cameos like dodger, or a 2 seconds cameo of Kat Von D (I have no idea how they got Kat Von D, and why they used her for only 2 seconds). and over all, it was just a funny sketch.

8. Craig's list crack call: "cosmetics"

this is simply a hilarious sketch. all the dumb question rhett asks and the things he said made me laugh really hard, "what's the shape of your face?", "put your fist in front of your eyeballs, can you see on both sides of it?", and when link comes as his wife and asks "did he ask you what's the shape of your face?" it kills me.

out of all the crank calls they made, this one was the best, it was just so absurd, and that made it really funny.

7. "have you ever" music videoThis is what sold me on the mythical show, what made me sure this show will be fantastic.

it's a song in the style of the old rhett and link songs, it has a great tune and funny lyrics.

it starts out with stuff that we all probably experienced, which really reminded of "I am a thoughtfull guy", though as it continues it turns to most obscure and weird things.

it was just a great song, which I'm sure in the time to follow it will be remembered just as much as "rub some bacon on it" or "the seti song"

also, who hasn't LOLSHTYWFOATYADYT?

6. Frontier Wok Ad

also know as "Kung POW! Commercial"

easiely the best commercial in the mythical show IMO. I didn't care too much for Goorgen, but this commercial is just great in every way.

first, there's an evil mexican riding a pony, secondly, the good guy is an asian cowboy, thirdly, he fights by giving asian food, and there's much more.

this commercial is a great combination of western and asian films, it has a mexican stand off (a staple of westerns), but all of the characters are dubbed, and badly, which is a great nod to asian films.

I just love this commercial, and it saddens me that it didn't go as viral as the others.

5. "what women want" music video

the most recent on this list, from the last episode of the mythical show.  this is another great song, I especially like because of how it sounds, you know, the song itself.

it has some funny parts as well, and it really makes me think of some of my friends. and Kassem G (I think that's him) sitting in the car without showing any emotion while all the others sing around him is really funny.

but mostly it's just a great song.

4. The mythical show with Locke & Lincoln

I think a lot of you would agree with me that this was one of the best segments in the mythical show.

first of all Locke and Lincoln are really cute, there, I said it, now let's move on. their entire conversation is hillatious, how Locke describes a horrible death which is why he's afraid of, umm, I don't remember, and then Lincoln say he's afraid of toilets, and if that's not ridiculous enough, he describes excactly why he's afraid of them, which is completely silly, and all of that happens while Locke is laughing.

and then when they talk about the cicada challenge and the poster, they do it in the most funny and unprofecional way.

over all, this is just a hillarios conversation.

3. Forest Patrol "Crevasse of no return"

firstly, I'd like to confess that I am not a big fan of forest patrol, I don't think it's bad, it's just a bit too mormulatic for my taste, but this episode was something special.

it had some really funny lines, like "Nancy still got it", and it had a really creepy atmosphere which I liked, and which reminded me a lot of Adventure Time. also it had an apperance of the whalk, which some of you must remember from an episode of GMM.

there's just something about this episode which makes me want to watch it again and again, and that a great thing for a cartoon.

2. "The Graduation song" music video

I adore this song. I absolutly love it. it's not really funny (ok, a little) but it's mostly very emotional.

every line in this song is so correct, and it makes me think of how life moves on. it also really make makes me think of myself, and about my own life.

the clip is also great, and it's cool how it's all in one take, but that's not the important thing about this song.

this song makes me both sad and happy, I've heard it countless times and I adore everything about it (it's possibly my favorite R&L song), and the only reason it's not #1 on this list is because it's not original for the mythical show, this song is originally from rhett and link's graduation speech, here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuV3R3Ogr9I, and it was only remade for the mythical show.

1. May Holydays

also know as May Holiday Challenge

pretty unexpected huh?

this sketch is just incredibly funny, and I'm sure it's the segment that made me laugh the most in the mythical show.

when this sketch came up I didn't expect too much out of it, but it made me laugh really hard.

it has some really brilliant moments, like how they put the hamburger from national hamburger day in the plant from love a tree day, to celebate learn about composting day.

or how in leprechaun day Link asks Rhett "where's your pot?" and he says "What kind of Leprechaun do you think I am"?.

just the entire sketch, the way it works and the way holydays interconnect is incredibly funny, and I think this is one of, if not the best sketch of the mythical show.

and that's it. that took a really long time to write.....please in the comment say what did you think about this list, and write down your own favorite sketches.
