Tips on songwriting

I am a musician, and it basically is all i do (and the internet of course), but the one aspect of music that you guys seem to excel in that I have been trying to get into is lyric writing. I was wondering if you had any tips or ideas to help a struggling song writer out. Do you have any tools that would help?
