The Rise and Fall of the Segway

My husband and I were at a local theme park yesterday, and I noticed an abandoned segway with a half-eaten bag of potato chips laying in the walkway. No owner to be seen. Remember when they had those on various afternoon talk shows when they first came out, and everyone would "oo" and "aah" at them? They became so popular so quickly only to plummet in popularity with such force that people are abandoning them, snacks and all, in the middle of walkways at theme parks.

Of course, if you're something a little more broad than that, you could always do something on completely useless inventions. :)

say it ain't so!
we took two of those for a spin on Venice Beach last summer on our Road Trip...
they were a ton of fun. especially there because they had these canals with arched walkways over them. challenging stuff. rhett fell off. uh huh.

Oo, yikes! I'm guessing poor Rhett didn't come out of that one completely unscathed?
