Steep Canyon Rhett & Link?
Okay, this is more serious and burning than my last question...
Have you ever heard of the Steep Canyon Rangers? They are from Asheville, NC and I think that you both would like them... and I also was thinking that you should try to team up with them. :) I saw them with Steve Martin last October and they are very funny and skilled in the art of folk/bluegrass.

Only a very vew (old) Mythical Beasts will recall that Steve Martin made his living as a studio musician long before he got into stand-up comedy and movies. . . and he can still pick a mean banjo!
