As we walked past a cornhole game at our town's 4th of July celebration, I wondered if Rhett and Link fans everywhere were getting the same reminder of our favorite guys all over the country. It is fast becoming classic Americana...
Sadly I did not see a single one! But that didn't stop me from from sighing Rusty and Larnold's names every time I heard the sizzle of a fuse or the sound of someone screaming in pain as something on them caught fire.
I am hoping deeply I will see one soon though so I can ask to borrow it. : )
I saw one! We were driving around a neighborhood looking for a spot to park and watch fireworks...and lo and behold, two cornhole boards and bags tossed around in someone's driveway! At which point I exclaimed "CORNHOLE!!!"
I actually played cornhole once about 5 years ago at a birthday party I went to in high school. I don't remember it being called "cornhole", but I recognized it immediately when I saw the Cornhole Song video. :)
I saw plenty of corn holes, games, sets, bags....but then again..i live in the cincy area where it was born...
I actually had my students believing that the game started when two guys dug small holes in the ground and they would stand about 20 feet away from them and grab a hand full of corn kernels and throw them at the holes...the person with the most in the hole, won. I'm a genius..
