So What Happens to the Mail...?

For those of you who send in mail and wonder what happens to it when you don't see it on the show...well, sometimes it gets turned into a recurring prop that Rhett and Link use!

In the Thursday Means Mail GMMore episode of February 11, 2016, Rhett and Link get called out for using a Fred Flintstone action figure over the past several years without mentioning it was a gift received from a fan.

This leads into a conversation about the fact they can't feature every mail item they receive, but they do receive them and treasure them in other ways. :)

I hate to say this, but I love that Jen made sure they were "called out" on this and that they made it right. With the way the audience is growing and how all of the beasts are looking out for one another, it is getting more difficult to use something that was someone else's and call it your own....if ya know what I mean!?

I feel like they probably dont even look at the vast majority of our mail, let alone feature it. I feel like the only way to get them to consider looking at your mail is to make it so amazing and over the top and have a creative idea. Thats not so easy and puts pressure- at least for me

And what happens to the "Museum"? the little video putting it in is cute but they could be throwing them out after and we would never know

I highly doubt they throw out the museum items!! For one thing, every time they add something new, they zoom out the shot and you can see all the old items on the shelves. But also, Link in particular has expressed a certain reverence for the Mail Museum that suggests to me that they would never mistreat the items they put into it.

I suppose. I dont doubt that Rhett and Link really love and appreciate all the fan mail and awesome stuff. I dont think they actually throw them out. I do like that they are doing this better than the boulder where everything is shoved together. but i still feel bad because so many people dont get their mail in the museum. I KNOW THAT ITS IMPOSSIBLE FOR EVERYONE TO BE AKNOWLEGED. Its just not possible since there is so much and not at all enough time to go through every single one. I just feel bad for people who send in really personal and sentimental things but they do not get recognized and now their special item is gone forever from them.

I know it'll never be perfect, and to be honest thursday has always been the day I am not as excited for (i do love their videos though) and I'm less likely to watch GMmore.

wow i am really complaining. I'm sorry. I still really love and am SOOO OBSESSED with Rhett and Link and GMM and don't see myself stopping anytime soon. I still do watch it every day.
