Did your schools impact your careers at all?

If you mean college, I'd say we're doing what we're doing "in spite of" our education in some senses. We went to an engineering school (NC State) that focuses more on careers in science/tech. We both got engineering degrees. I think having a technical mindset and education helps you to be a self-teacher, which is essential with audio/video production, but I guess it would be more typical if we had some kind of communication or film/video degree.

So I guess I just answer "yes and no". ;)
our college roommate Gregg once said "you don't really learn anything; you already know everything" but that can't be right...can it? he usually would say that before heating up another hot pocket and prioritizing 3 more hours of video games over studying. and Rhett was there. and I was somewhere studying.

I've been wondering what you guys do for your "career". I mean, if you can support your family with GMM and the like. If so I can't help but say that I'm jealous because it seems like so much fun. What are some stresses you guys encounter?

I'm 27 and dropped out of college. Right now I'm on summer vacation from tech school where I'm going for my degree in Human Services. I'm starting to doubt if it's the right thing for me. I've always consider myself an artist, but I've heard that having an art degree has no merit in the job economy. Having a daughter of my own, I worry about what kind of career decisions I'll make and how I can support the both of us while still enjoying what I do.

I guess I'm just wondering what you think about that.
