Rhett and Link reference on smosh?

Lately mythical beasts have been noticing some real/accidental Rhett and Link references popping up, such as on TMNT, or phineas and ferb. Now, I don't watch Smosh very often, but I happened to come across a recent upload of lunchtime with smosh (be warned younger mythical beasts, I do not encourage you to watch this video) where Ian stated that he recently went through second puberty, which Rhett mentioned on a season one GMM episode, where they discussed the legal driving age. I just wanted to point it out, because it can't be a reference considering Smosh wouldnt even Rhett and link ride their fan boat!
