Feel free to move this to GD if necessary, but this really feels like a Kommunity discussion about the Kommunity, so maybe it ought to be here.

Dan Brown posted an interesting video the other day.
It's here.

He points the watchers towards another more lengthy (yet interesting!) video about how people gather together into tribes. There are five levels of tribe, negative to positive.

Positive tribes have the power to do great, sweeping things and make changes in the world.

Negative-oriented tribes promote random acts of violence and anarchy.

So what can we do, as a tribe? We're more than just Mythical Beasts. We're a Tribe of Mythical Beasts.

AWESOME post! I was thinking about our Kommunity when I watched it! What level do you think we're at?

I think we are a level 4 tribe... we value fun and creativity and aren't afraid to do things differently, as Dan describes, and we definitely have a sense of fraternity.

I like that this video is inspiring groups to do something.... the Vlogbrothers have already started to mobilize...

Ah! the wonderfulness of being a tribe! I love community, and I love our Kommunity!!! :D

Well, according to Rhett, we are a brood of Mythical Beasts. So instead of calling us a tribe of Mythical Beasts, we should be a brood...

DEFINITELY a KBE...and a seriously serious awesome one! Maybe we'll have to change the acronym again...to TBE! Tribal Building Exercise!

I'm gonna say we're a 3.5 level tribe right now...because we don't think spammers and video thieves are so great...but we're willing to take positive action as a group. Can we submit another montage as Mythical Beasts, perhaps, to Dan's call to action? Who's willing to coordinate?

As I watched this, I felt like level 4 fits this Kommunity. There is a lot of "we" rather than "me." There are lots of us who really encourage others rather than critique. There is a definite sense of sharing and not being overly competitive.
