Truly a classic question . . . in fact, we had this topic as a Kommunity forum discussion almost a year ago . . . but with a little twist:

My comment way back then still holds true today . . . only the COWBOY would have a Winchester . . . so, what's the question again?
Never bring a pirate sword or nunchuks to a GUN FIGHT!
. . . unless, of course, they're REAL nunChucks!

ok lets examine the fallacy of that statement
a ninja is an individual that studies ninjitsu, an ancient form of martial arts
a pirate is simply someone who lives on the water and engages in acts of piracy, this leaves plenty of room to be flexible in. because a pirate has no set list of skills save sea ferrying (which he could learn easily) then they could bring any set of skills to the table, you could even have a ninja that was also a pirate.
so te answer for everyone is that it depends on the skills and experience of the two fighting and has nothing to do with them being a pirate or a ninja
