Did you guys have any music teachers in school that influenced you to continue making music? Or did your family play a big part in your musical development?

Not really...honestly, most of our motivation for learning to play and sing (something we started looking into at about age 17) was because we wanted to draw a crowd. We forced our family and friends to come out and hear us play when we were in our first band in high school.
Mr. Dan Grieder taught me how to the play the trumpet in 7th grade.
Ms Maddox taught me how to play the recorder in 4th grade.
As a future music teacher (currently student teaching), that makes me happy! Perhaps if I get a job teaching elementary school music and teach the 4th graders how to play recorder I'll show them your videos and how cool the recorder can be. ;)

I bet Teresa up there would do the same... We discovered recently that we're both student teaching choir at the same time!

Yes, yes, yes!!! That is exciting. I asked because of the current state of education and how music programs can sometimes get the short end of the stick. Obviously, Link still uses some of his skills today. :)
